These hand made beaded dolls are made by women of the Ndebele Tribe in South Africa.They are one of the smallest tribes of the region and are noted for their homes of brilliant colors and. their similarly colourful clothing

More than 70 women who live mostly in remote areas where there are very few job opportunities earn an independent income from this unique bead work project.
The Ndebele women producing these stunning dolls work individually from their homes and in doing so are able to care for their children and retain their traditional lifestyles
