The colours of Africa come alive in these grass baskets hand-woven in Swaziland.
Made from Lutindzi grass which grows in a sheath which pulls out easily when harvested and does not damage the roots of the grass. This strong grass has been used in Swaziland for hundreds of years to make ropes and baskets.

Over 700 women support themselves by weaving these baskets. The weaving techniques are passed on from mother to daughter, preserving cultural integrity and providing economic support.
